Dear Mother, Father & all,

We are just going up into the line & although I do not expect to get hit there is always the chance. I have been thinking of you all today; more than usual as it is Sunday, but hasn’t been much like one I expect – from one getting ready to go to service or sat down for a quiet time.

We have been sitting & laying around all day in a cellar, but I shall soon start out. The shells have been going over both ways; mostly to the Germans.

Good night all of you

My very best love

Your loving son and brother

Eustace

But Lord of all”
