To my dear great nephew WALTER
Brittan Harris, sure I oughter
To have seen you ere you got so mighty old:
Now for three – 0 - sixty five days
You have lived, in infantile ways
And. you are a regular beauty, so I'm told.
Is your Mother just proud, of you?
Does your father think a lot too
Of his son who comes to carry on his name ?
Are you mothers icksey dicksey
Ittle darling tricksey wicksey ?
Does she wonder how she lived before you came ?
What do you think of grandma- ma
And dont you want your grand-pa-pa
To cross the mighty ocean just to kiss you ?
Would you not like your aunts to come
Aunt Ella and the other one
They'd take you back but your mamma would miss you.
Have I
seen your photo? RATHER.
Oh My :
arnt you like your Father
With your
Mother's sweetness in your face expressed;
Surely now
with such a treasure,
They have
gladness in full measure,
And
realise that they are DOUBLY BLEST.
YORE
HUNKLE
